  • What is the difference between working with a Coach vs. Therapist?

    Coaches partner with their clients to tune into thoughts and feelings, overcome limiting beliefs, and set actionable steps towards their goals. The focus of the sessions are present and future focused. A coach works to enhance performance, boost well-being, and guide clients to meet their aspirations. Therapists work with clients to understand and resolve past experiences. Therapists are licensed to diagnose and treat mental health issues, emotional disorders, and psychological trauma. Each plays a unique and important role in fostering personal growth and overall wellness.

  • Do I have a chance to ask questions before I invest in life coaching?

    Yes! I invite you to schedule a complimentary 30-minute virtual discovery meeting to explore the transformative power of life coaching. The conversation will uncover any questions you have about the process and provide me, the coach, insight what you are looking for. This is a mutual opportunity to determine if we (coach and client) are a good fit for a coaching partnership.

  • What can I expect in a coaching session?

    You can expect to gain deeper self awareness in a safe and non judgemental space.  At times, you might experience discomfort as we navigate through self-discovery, work through emotions, or sit in moments of silence. This discomfort is a natural and important part of the growth process. Coaching is a powerful and reflective process that can lead to significant breakthroughs and lasting change. I partner with you to uncover and challenge unconscious habits, gain new perspectives, set actionable goals, and take strategic steps to achieve them. 

  • What are the benefits working to with a life coach?

    Clients benefit from life coaching in numerous ways, including self-discovery, increased confidence, mindset shifts, and improved emotional regulation. Together, we will identify and overcome the patterns and thoughts that have been blocking your progress, leading to breakthroughs in achieving your goals. As your coach, I will be your dedicated partner, providing accountability and support to help you stay on track. A study published in The Journal of Positive Psychology found that participants who received coaching showed higher levels of goal attainment compared to those who did not receive coaching.

  • Why are sessions delivered in packages?

    Coaching takes time. It involves building a solid foundation of trust, setting and refining goals, fostering behavioral change, developing skills, overcoming challenges, gaining insights, and evaluating progress. This comprehensive approach ensures that the results are sustainable and impactful, leading to meaningful and lasting transformation.

  • Is Life Coaching covered by health benefits/insurance?

    Yes, some policy’s offer wellness spending accounts  or benefits that include coverage for Life Coaching. I encourage you to check with your insurance carrier to familiarize yourself with your benefit plan details prior to booking. Receipts will be provided for your submission.

  • Are refunds issued?

    To ensure a successful coaching experience, it is important to note that all payments are non-refundable, and no guarantees are made regarding results. While I am fully dedicated to partnering with you the outcome of your coaching journey largely depends on your own effort, commitment, and active participation. 

  • What should I do if something in the coaching process isn't working for me?

    At Illuminating Coaching, I value honesty and transparency.

    If something isn’t working, please share your thoughts openly. I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
